Khutba for Me ("the App") is developed by Abdalla Taha. It delivers Finnish and English translations of the Friday sermon (khutba) from participating mosques, as text and as spoken audio. This policy covers the App on Apple TV and explains how it handles your data.
The App does not collect personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-ins, no profiles, and no advertising. We never ask for your name, email, phone number, or location, and we have no way to identify you.
The App keeps only your preferences on the Apple TV: the mosque you last opened, the language you last chose for the khutbas, the text size, and the playback speed. It downloads no khutbas — their text is fetched when you open one, and the narration streams from our server. Deleting the App from the Apple TV removes everything it stored.
The App connects to our server at ataha.codes to list khutbas, fetch their text, and stream their narration. These requests carry no personal information — only which khutba is being fetched. As with any website, our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, and the file requested) for security and troubleshooting. These logs are not used to build profiles, are not shared, and are not linked to any identity.
The App on Apple TV sends no notifications and registers with no notification service.
The App requests no permissions. It asks for no location, camera, microphone, contacts, or access to your files.
The App contains no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no third-party software development kits. We do not use cookies or any form of user tracking.
Khutbas are recorded at the mosque and translated automatically. The translation is of the sermon delivered publicly to the congregation; it contains no information about you or any other listener.
The App is suitable for all ages, including a dedicated version of each khutba written for young people. Because the App collects no personal data from any user, there is nothing for us to see, share, or sell.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
